Contrary to Gyeongbokgung whose main buildings are arranged in accurate architectural principle, however, buildings in Changdeokgung are disposed more freely without a regular system. وخلافاً لقصر غيونغبوك والذي تترتب المباني الرئيسية فيه حسب مبدأ معماري دقيق, وعلى العموم فالمباني في قصر تشانغدوك يتم التخلص منها بحرية أكبر من دون نظام منتظم.
As a part of reconstruction, he revised land ordinance and redistributed land to the people; he also ordered the rebuilding of Changdeok Palace along with several other palaces. كجزء من سياسة إعادة الإعمار , كما نقح قانون الأراضي وأعاد توزيعها على الناس , أمر بإعادة بناء قصر تشانغدوك بالإضافة للعديد من القصور الأخرى .
Changdeokgung consists of governmental area (치조, 治朝, chijo) centering on Injeongjeon and Seonjeongjeon, royal private area (침전, 寢殿, chimjeon, meaning 'a house of king's bedroom'), Nakseonjae area in the east, and Huwon beyond the north hills. يتكون قصر تشانغدوك من منطقة حكومية (치조 | 治朝 | تشيجو) تتركز في إنجونغجون وسونجونغجون, ومنطقة ملكية خاصة (침전 | 寝殿 | تشمجون وتعني حجرة نوم الملك) ومنطقة ناكسونجاي في الشرق, وهوون خلف تلال الشمال.
